The construction of Uganda Christian University main campus roads has been commissioned today at Allan Galpin in Mukono.
This marks the beginning of paving , construction, and rehabilitation roads, paths and parking space within the university campus.
The current road network is about 3km. 1km will be worked on in what Dr John Senyonyi, the Vice Chancellor, called the first phase. It includes Suubi road, Sanyu road, Library Rise, Alpha roads, ascent to Agape road, access to Junction road, and Football Field access.
The contracted company for the road works is Stirling Civil Engineering Limited, an engineering company based in Uganda. It has worked on several Construction projects in the country like Namugongo Road, Mpologamo (Budumba) Railway bridge conversion, upgrading of Kampala to Gayaza road, among others.
The project has a budget of over 800 million, and the down payment has already been paid for the work to start.
