Intercourse football tournament kicks off

Uganda Christian University intercourse football tournament, kicked off on June 18 with the Bachelors of Statistics going head on with Financial Management and Human resource at the University’s main pitch.

The Bachelors of Statistics and Financial Management dominated the game, after a goalless draw, Rodney Onyinge saw the opponents net shortly into the second half. He later on added another goal to his name in the 59th minute.

Namanya Barnabassealed off the 3-0 win with a long strike leaving the Human Resource team in utter despair.

“We did not expect the win following our loss of key players who graduated. We have however added first year students who have not disappointed.” said the human resource team captain Emmanuel Omara.

Defending champions, Bachelors of Entrepreneurship and Project Planning, with two titles to their name remain optimistic and hoping to defend the this year’s trophy upon retaining for the tournament.

The Faculty of Education, Social Work and Social Administration, Business and the faculty of Mass Communication have put together strong teams to contest for the trophy with the Mass Commutation team  being looked at as the favourites to win the tournament.
