Mucurezi earns Cranes call

Paul Mucurezi (aka Mucu), an almnus of UCU now playing for KCCA FC has received his first call to the national team, the Cranes.

Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has selected a provisional team consisting of 24 players, ahead of the 2017 AFCON finals in Gabon.

Other players include Tusker FC left back Shafik Batambuze and Gor Mahia’s Godfrey Walusimbi, former Gor Mahia and now Vietnam-based midfielder Geoffrey Baba Kizito.

Mucurezi played for UCU in the 2014 East African Games before moving on to KCCA.

This makes him eligible to have an opportunity to take part in Africa’s biggest sporting event slated for January next year.
