For years now all stakeholders, students and staff alike have waited for the time when the roads in and around the university would be fixed. That wait will soon be history.
For this the whole community is glad. All roads, paths, drainages, parking lots, humps, and pipes are going to be refurbished beginning March this year, and we should all be optimistic that the companies bidding for the assignment will do a good job.
With this bold step taken by the administration, the dust experienced during the dry season, and the mud during the rainy season will be gone.
Given that the construction of the main road outside the university campus is also in the pipeline, surely access to this place of higher learning is set to greatly improve this year and the years to come.
This university was voted by christianuniversitiesonline.org as the most beautiful Christian university in Africa and the 50th in the world. With this upgrade, the university administration is looking to create a more beautiful campus and a comfortable environment for its students.
As the construction gets underway, there shall be certain inconveniences such as road diversions, relocation of parking spaces, a temporal increase in dust, and others associated with the process. It is imperative that we are all patient and co-operative because the project benefits us all in the long run.
