The Shepherds triumphed over Kyambogo Rugby Club 43-15 in the second tier rugby championship at the new pitch on March 21 after beating the same side 44-7 in the first round on January 28.

“If we win all our next three games, then we will win the championship,” Denis Etuket, the Shepherds tactician, revealed after the match.

Shepherds captain Timothy Luyirika   picked up 11 points while  Euphrey Orach had two  tries and Conrad Mukwaya one try.

Luyirika told The Standard that they are nine points behind leaders Stallions with three games in hand since they are playing catch-up games.

“Our target is to win all games and qualify for the play offs,” Luyirika added.

The Shepherds next play the  Sailors, the Stallions and  end with the Boks at home on March 28.
