Guild prioritises passport photo printer in budget draft

BY STAFF WRITER As the 2016/ 2017 Guild Government settles in office, it is setting priority on buying a passport size photo-printer to generate income. This was revealed during the parliamentary budget session on January 9 at the Students’ Guild boardroom. The full-set printer, according to the Guild President, Prisca Amongin, will cost her government Shs6m. The guild government has already produced a budget draft for 2017/18 now pending approval by the University Administration. Guild electoral commissioners fired over abuse of office

BY BRIGHT NIWAHA Mr Bob Festus H i m b i s e , the head of the guild Electoral Commission (EC) at Uganda Christian University (UCU), has been fired, together with three members of the committee. Himbise was fired on October 10, over unethical conduct and abuse of office.
